Plan your trading week around the releases that move the market. The calendar lists upcoming economic events for the major currencies, from jobs reports and inflation data to central bank rate decisions, with every time converted to your time zone.

Each event shows its expected impact, the forecast and the previous value. Filter by currency or impact, and open any event to see what it measures, how often it is released and how a surprise usually affects the currency.

How should traders use an economic calendar?

Check the high-impact events before you open a position. Spreads can widen and price can move sharply around a release, so many traders avoid entering just before one or trade a smaller size.

What do the impact levels mean?

High-impact events, such as Non-Farm Payrolls, CPI or a rate decision, often move a currency the most. Medium-impact releases can still matter when they surprise, while low-impact events rarely change the bigger picture on their own.

Why note news events in your trading journal?

Writing down whether a trade was opened close to a major release shows you over time how news affects your results, and helps you decide whether to trade these moments or stay out.
