Creator of Lone Wolf Journal
I am the creator of Lone Wolf Journal and a software developer with more than three decades of programming experience.
My journey into trading was very different from my work as a developer. In programming, a problem can usually be examined, tested, and corrected logically. Trading introduced emotion, uncertainty, fear, poor risk management, and decisions that often looked obvious only after the trade was over.
I made many of the mistakes that traders rarely like to talk about. I entered without a clear plan, held losing positions for too long, exited good trades too early, ignored my own rules, and sometimes allowed emotion to take control of my decisions.
Those experiences taught me that knowing a strategy is not enough. A trader must also understand their own behaviour.
I created Lone Wolf Journal to make that process easier. It is a tool for recording not only trades and results, but also the reasoning, emotions, discipline, and mistakes behind each decision.
Through my writing, I share what I have learned from my own failures, observations, and continued development. My goal is not to tell other traders what to trade, but to help them review their own decisions, recognize repeating patterns, and become more disciplined and independent.
Because in the end, every trader must learn to step away from the noise, take responsibility for their decisions, and find the path that works for them.

Why the name Lone Wolf Journal?
The market is full of noise, promises, and people telling you what to do. But real progress begins when you stop following the pack, sharpen your instincts, and take responsibility for every decision. This is where the lone wolf is born.
Why not automate everything?
Not every step in trading should be automated. Sometimes the pause between trades is what builds discipline, prevents revenge trading, and teaches you to wait for the right moment.
