FOMC Meeting Minutes give a fuller account of the discussions behind a previous Federal Reserve policy decision. They are normally published several weeks after the meeting.

Traders use the minutes to see how policymakers weighed risks and whether there was broad agreement. Their impact depends on whether they reveal anything new since the meeting and subsequent speeches.

Usual effect: A more hawkish tone than expected is generally good for the US dollar; a more dovish tone is generally bad for it.
